A Career Pause...

Fri Mar 11, 2005, 2:10 PM
Well, a recent breakthrough in the rules system and what-not for Crime has created a necessity to redesign all cards that I've already created. So you won't see many updates for a bit while I work on the redesign(s)... But keep an eye out!

So is this crime idea inspired by grand theft auto?

Get a job.

Hell no. Crime isn't inspired by GTA or anything like that. It was inspired by my enjoyment for the collectible-card-game platform and frustration at the fact that there are pretty much NO good CCGs intended for older players. (Sadly, though, most older players don't care. It's a sad sight to see the 30-year-old, 400-pounder Magic playa that still lives with his mother. And, on more than one occasion, I've seen groups of 25-year-olds in the back of a comic shop shouting over cards they just played in the WWE Wrestling card game...)

Most inspiraiton for it, though, comes from games like Vampire: the Eternal Struggle (which I played because I loved the V:tM P&;P Game), Legend of the Five Rings, the Marvel & D.C. VS games, my own friends and my own experiences. That's one reason I insist on picture manips for the card art. It's more personal and throws in a bit of "real-life" essence to the game.

**IN STORES NEAR YOU NEXT WINTER!!** (IF I"M LUCKY! HAHAHA!!)

Ok, I didn't mean to throw you in with the GTA crowd. Good luck with the game.

Get a job. Just kidding.
